Organization is Vital… Where Do I Start?

Organize

A few weeks ago we talked about the importance of processes within our company. Not only are having processes necessary to get a task done but they are vital to the success of our clients. In order for these processes to get accomplished in a timely manner, we first must start at the heart of it all-organization of our thoughts and tasks.

When managing a remote team, it is important to establish an organized way to communicate. A few ways to accomplish this would be through:

  • Google Calendar
  • Web-based communication tool (ie. Airtable, Monday, Google Sheets)
  • Google Drive
  • Dropbox

Google Calendar

Consider implementing time-blocking into your calendar to help you stay focused and avoid watching the squirrels run up the trees. But, don’t ‘over-block’ yourself so that you don’t have time to take on a special project. It is critical to stay on top of your calendar by putting in your meetings with clients or even internal pow-wow sessions. Lastly, utilize the recurring feature to make those weekly meetings a breeze to remember.

Airtable

We’ve chosen to implement Airtable into our daily world as a means to effectively manage our clients’ digital marketing attack.

Airtable is the perfect melody between Google Sheets and a database. Part of my job is to keep the wheels turning by assigning monthly account management tasks, managing publication schedules, organizing digital assets and balancing advertising budgets. Yep, you guessed it…all within Airtable!

Google Drive and Dropbox

Both of these remarkable applications make it easy to store company files and client assets. Since they are both web-based, everyone on our team has access to the goods with the click of their mouse.

Each member of our Get Smart team has all the information at their fingertips to successfully manage their clients’ accounts. Even better, we can easily step in for one another at any time without missing a beat. Staying organized not only brings about a successful campaign getting launched on time, but helps us keep our hair until it naturally falls out.

We’d love the opportunity to chat with you about how we can help your business formulate the perfect digital marketing attack.
