Although mostly known for our pool marketing and our hot tub marketing, The Get Smart Group has grown significantly in the last few years. We have cultivated a team of creative thinkers that have experience tackling problems from the pool and spa industry head-on. For example, one client wanted a better way to streamline scheduling seasonal pool openings and closings for their service department. Another recently wanted a better method to display construction projects to prospective customers.

Our solution was to create two custom plugins for WordPress that resolved each problem.

Your customers can auto-schedule openings & closings.

Imagine being able to send your customers to your website to schedule service with your company. A few simple clicks: picking the date and time from what is available, choosing the type of service required (service package or a la carte option), and having upgrades added to the order with an additional click. All of this, plus a pay now feature means more upfront revenue and less energy trying to collect payments later.

Find the project image that seals the deal.

Imagine being able to have customers and your sales team peruse your website’s photo gallery and search for pictures by features, size, shape, construction materials used, and more, in mere seconds. We have developed a Project Photo Gallery plugin that displays your construction projects with a unique page for each project shown.

Each page shows off the project artistically, making use of drone video footage and high-resolution images. Each of the photos is tagged. Enabling you to search for gunite, vinyl, or fiberglass pools, just as easily as searching for waterfalls, grottoes, tanning ledges, or the size and shape of the pool someone wants to see for comparison. Details about the project get added, providing extra value.

With something like this, a previous long-suffered problem has turned into a valuable sales tool that will keep people coming back to your website for more.

Something new that we have also recently released is the Latham Liner Visualizer.

This solution made by The Get Smart Group for Latham enables people to see what each available liner truly looks like in a pool with water. First, pick from three different pool shapes and then from three different styles of homes. Then simply click to view what each liner looks like installed and from a few different angles.

For anyone ever stuck flipping through a liner sample pack and trying to visualize what it would look like installed in a backyard like yours, you’re welcome. To the salesperson trying to close the deal, enjoy!

I believe in people — their value, their ingenuity and creativity and especially their potential. Everyone matters, their dreams, and their goals matter. And for me, helping people better attain their goals and improve their quality of life is a purpose worthy of pursuit. I grew up on a thoroughbred horse farm in eastern Pennsylvania. There I learned the value of working hard with a song on your lips and the pure joy of doing a thing well. I have been a martial arts instructor and coach, worked in the telecom industry for several years, and served as a sales and retail manager in the pool and hot tub industry before joining The Get Smart Group. My beloved wife, Stephanie and I have two girls, and we all share a passion for reading books and playing outside. I enjoy disc golf, ultimate frisbee, riding our Peloton and occasionally singing with the Berks Opera Company. I also invest a considerable amount of time volunteering at our local church. My time in the pool industry offers me valuable insight concerning needs specific to our clients and their hard-earned businesses. I get “it” because I’ve been right where they are. My desire to help people and improve their quality of life grows every time we use our innovation to resolve the problems faced by our clients. And even more, as we strive to honor one of our core values: Do Good - We desire nothing less than to transform the world and empower entrepreneurs.
