Hello, I am Samantha Rainwater

As a former small-business owner, I know firsthand the joys and challenges of sales and marketing. The five years I spent running my self-supporting furniture business helped me learn that well-written digital content is the key to capturing and maintaining the interests of both new and existing customers, and that the variety of content is just as important.

My versatility as a writer has been influenced by my circuitous educational and career paths. I graduated from college with a B.S. in biology, a concentration in environmental science, and a minor in professional writing. This degree has been surprisingly valuable in helping me understand the science behind at-home recreational equipment including pools and spas and expanding my writing abilities to include technical articles.

I’ve also been a freelance writer for a farm and garden business for many years. This experience has furthered my range of writing styles and taught me the flexibility to adapt my style and voice to best fit the needs of a particular client and subject matter.

Lastly, I understand the importance of relaxation and entertainment. My husband and I own, manage and market several rental properties, including a short-term vacation rental that features a hot tub, sauna, pool table, and arcade games.

On my own time, I enjoy planning outdoor activities and in-home fun with my husband, our two young children, and our two cats and dogs. We keep a busy lifestyle by traveling, visiting family, attending sales conventions, and finding adventure wherever we go. My husband and I also stay up on current business trends by reading, listening to podcasts, and enrolling in business seminars together.
