Hello, I am Jared Walz

Growing up on a farm in central Minnesota taught me a lot of things. It taught me integrity, the value of hard work and dedication, and that I didn’t want to be a farmer. I was always the creative type, and from an early age, I discovered that I am both a storyteller and a problem solver — whether it’s writing many creative stories, playing a plethora of different characters on stage, tinkering with board game rules to make them “just right,” or creating efficient ways to get done with farm chores quicker.

My storytelling, and problem-solving (along with my love for helping people), has always guided me in my professional career – from being a certified protection officer to a teacher and everything in between. Marketing, though, is the perfect melding of the three and I am excited to learn, grow, and share my talents with The Get Smart Group team.

Outside of work you can find me playing board games, going on long walks with an audiobook, cooking, and striving to create the best tasting kombucha this side of the Mississippi.
