You did it! You took the first step and are now scheduled to have your first meeting with The Get Smart Group team. Congratulations! We’re so excited to work with you.
In order for this first meeting to go as smoothly as possible, there is some prep work to do.
Prepare for Zoom Meetings
If you’ve never used Zoom before, this is a critical first step. The Get Smart Group conducts all of its remote meetings over Zoom, so it’s essential to become familiar with this tool. If you already know how to use Zoom, great! Just glean over this list and make sure you have everything in order:
- Create a Zoom account if you don’t already have one.
- Confirm you have a working camera and microphone.
We recommend having a secure high-speed internet connection, too.
Asset Collection
Please create a plan to collect all of the images, videos, logos, and assets that The Get Smart Group will use for your marketing. These help us tell your story and add a personal touch beyond stock images.
Login Collection
Please create a plan to collect all of the website logins and passwords for social media accounts, WordPress, email marketing, Google Analytics, manufacturer portals, etc., that The Get Smart Group will need access to.
Look over your signed proposal
Make sure to have your marketing proposal on hand to ensure that everyone is well prepared. We will be going over your proposal in detail and it will allow you to ask any additional questions or clarify anything you need more information on.
Invite your team
Invite any internal stakeholders/employees that will be working alongside The Get Smart Group to this meeting.
Any questions?
If you have any questions prior to our first meeting, you don’t need to wait until we’re on Zoom. Reach out to us ahead of time! We’re happy to help in any way we can.

- A secure, high-speed internet connection is strongly recommended.
Gather Your Assets

These materials help us tell your story and ensure your brand feels authentic and personalized. An email with a link to a Google Drive folder will be sent to you shortly—please use that folder to upload all of your assets in one convenient place.
Gather Your Logins
Make a plan to collect the necessary logins and access credentials The Get Smart Group will need to launch and manage your marketing effectively. This includes platforms like:
- Google Ads & Google Business Profile
- Your website, server, and hosting platform

Review Your Proposal
Please have your signed marketing proposal handy. Look over it prior to the meeting and feel free to ask questions, clarify details, or make notes on any next steps you’d like to discuss.
